As of September 16th, 2008 the Catholic Church officially has no problem with "theistic" evolution supported by the science of Darwin. They will not offer an apology to Darwin though. This smacks of Galileo. The church approves, but only offers an apology five hundred years after Galileo dies, under house arrest...by the Catholic church.

It was morning, and the air was crisp, even for September. I jumped up out of bed with a new feeling of inspiration. Well. Not really. Actually I rolled out of bed wondering when it started to be such a hassle to get out of bed. “Mom!” Wheres my shirt”. my son Christian Bellows from outside the room.
