FRIDAY, MAY 18th and SUNDAY, MAY 20th
The Regional Environmental Council is continuing to make handicap-accessible gardening available to elderly folks all over Worcester. Please join us in making raised gardening beds so that the people of Lafayette Street Garden (located at 308 Harding Street) can continue their 10+ years of successful growing seasons. The garden has suffered the loss of their raised beds due to rotted wood, heavy rains, and old age. The beds completely shattered in late March and early April and had to be removed because they became extremely unstable.
On Friday, May 18th, and Sunday May 20th, we need volunteers to help us assemble these beds in time enough for the Spring seedlings to arrive. This time the wood is treated (with a plant-safe substance) and is expected to last 15 years or more. We will provide food, drink, gratitude and love. Thanks everyone, and if you’re interested please contact me by any method you can.
