Greater Worcester Humanists welcomed Jason Torpy, president of the Military Assoc. of Atheists & Freethinkers to give us the state of affairs with regards to non-theism in the military. Contrary to the opinion "there are no atheists in foxholes," Jason told us that upwards of 20% of the military is non-theist, but it is an unwelcoming environment for them. One of his goals is to eliminate that atmosphere for those that serve our country through military service. He gives a brief overview of recent Christian prosthelytizing in Afghanistan and also reviews what we civilians can do to support military non-theists both locally, nationally and abroad.

The movie is a bit over 1 hour long. The sound is pretty good, and much better after 9:30 mins (the projector fan turns off). My only problem was that I hadn't planned for Mr. Torpy to move around too much, so he is out of frame. But, you can still hear his talk.
