Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism and other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity. We are an active chapter of the American Humanist Association. We provide a welcoming environment and a range of activities for area humanists and those interested in learning more about humanism.
February Meeting
Our next official GWH meeting will be on Tuesday, February 9, starting a bit earlier than usual at 6:30 p.m., at our usual meetingplace at the UU Church of Worcester, 90 Holden Street, Worcester. We're starting early because we have a special two-hour workshop on non-violent communication being run by Marguerite Robbins, who visits us from Concord. This topic is so critically important these days, when both non-violence and effective communication seem to be in such short supply. Feedback from those who have already seen this workshop suggests it is excellent.
